On May 12th, 1998 we moved into our new home out in the country north of Moscow. May and June were rainy months that prompted the weeds to grow like weeds. The landscaping was rough but I had all summer to see what I could do with the dirt. Although completely finished on the inside by the time we moved in, the outside of the house looked like this in May. Our builder was kind enough to leave his BobCat on site for a number of weeks in June so I could move around some dirt to smooth out the rough edges. In July, after sprinklers were installed and some small bushes were planted, we were ready for hydro seeding. July and August were hot which was good for getting the grass to sprout but it required lots of water to keep the ground wet. After two weeks, we have what is beginning to look like a yard. Classes start tomorrow and my summer is shot. It wasn't research but I learned lots.
